Wonderful brown, uncleaned rifle. Lock
marked H. Derringer Phila. and U.S. dated 1827. No evidence of
inspectors marks in wood opposite lock nor proofs at barrel breech.
Possibly one supplied to Virginia direct by Derringer, and converted
Harpers Ferry. Bore with trace of
rifling . Stock retains slightly feathered finish, missing rear sight.
Otherwise all original parts. Priced fairly at $1,375.00. |
