M1836 R. Johnson Flint Pistol |
|
Quite remarkable these days to find an all original .69 cal smoothbore
model 1842 just the way it left the arsenal in 1844. Matching barrel
date and lock for 1st year of production. Most are well used relics,
having seen duty before and during the war with Mexico, post-war on the
plains and frontier and then into the War Between the States.
Excellent bore, all original parts and two faint outlines of
inspector cartouches. Smooth, lightly aged metal, uncleaned mellow
walnut stock. Photos do not do justice to the stock. You will not be
disappointed at $2275.00
